If you’re looking for a fast-paced, sexual book, April Love by the incomparable Dee Dawning is right up your alley. There is plenty of sex, multiple partners and screaming orgasms to satisfy even the most jaded of readers. A word of warning though: this implacably strong story of a woman exploring her own sexuality is definitely not for the faint of heart.

I have to say that the chemistry between the characters would have been enough to set my Kindle on fire if it had been flammable. Even at nearly 50,000 words this story flew and I was finished before I knew it. My only suggestion to those interested in reading this book is that picking up April Showers would be greatly beneficial. This book can be read by itself but I think that as a reader you’d get more enjoyment out of this book after reading the first.

Picking up where April Showers leaves off, Randy weaves his spell of dominance and protection over beautiful blonde haired, blue eyed Angel Love as he had over equally beautiful April. Reintroducing her to the alluring, exciting, glamorous life of a high priced call girl, she had all but given up, she is anxious to please Randy and herself. Therefore, she resumes the life she, April and two other friends left behind seven years earlier, when as college juniors, the four had spent a debauched two week spring vacation as in Las Vegas.

Randy stroked me with his prodigious organ and oh God, it felt heavenly. Each wondrous thrust sent spasms of lustful heat rifling through my slender frame. I was silly centimeters for the ‘big one’, the San Andres fault when he suddenly stopped and left me hanging.

“Oh, Doll Face, I was so-o-o close. What’s the matter?”

“I need help.” He called, “April?”

“Help? April’s help. I don’t understand.”

The door opened and April, now wearing a robe and a mask peaked in. “Did you call?”

“Yes. Put the cuffs on her ankles. And put the mask on her.”

She stepped into the room and closed a cuff around each ankle, then closed the cuff on my left ankle around the corresponding post on the footboard. I started kicking violently. “Wait. What are you doing that for?”

April couldn’t grab my right ankle to fasten it, but Randy did. He then grabbed my foot and locked it in place. Spread eagle on the bed and naked, I began to panic. April slid beside me, a mask in her long feminine fingers. I whimpered. “April, we’re friends. Please tell me. Please. What the f*ck is going on?” As she slipped the mask over my eyes, I blubbered. “Please. What’s going to happen?”

She stroked my hair. “You’re just going to have some fun and make some money.”

I began to breathe heavily. My pulse rate soared. I felt a tingling in my arms and face from hyperventilating. “April, Helen or whatever you f*cking name is. You don’t understand. I don’t need money.”

Randy spoke. “April, baby, send the first customer in.”

This study investigates forms of theatre/performance practice and training that can be seen to employ “trance” states or engage the concept of “states of consciousness” as performative practice. Trance is seen here as the result of sustained involvement with detailed information that is structurally organised, invoking imaginative and affective engagements, maintained as interactions between the performer, other performers, the environment and audience of the performance. Trance performance is viewed here through the conceptual lens of dramatic arts practice. Trance practice and performance, across cultural contexts, are analysed as social processes – as elements of power relations that influence the performer, audience and environment of the performance. This study will examine praxis that can be drawn from Stanislavski to Strasberg to Mike Leigh; from Artaud to Beckett and Grotowski; from the Balinese trance performance form Sanghyang Dedari to Channeling practitioners in the U.S. from the 1930s to 1990s; and from traditions of military training, performance violence, and rhetoric associated with the attacks of 9/11 in 2001 in the U.S. and its aftermath.

Basic striptease moves from rate R movie scene – Mother from Minnesota – Central Minnesota, USA
As noted by other reviewers, the quality of the DVD is lacking. Having read the reviews prior to purchasing the DVD, I expected that and was not disappointed. I do not consider myself to be a good dancer but I can find the beat and shimmy a bit. With that, I was very disappointed in the dance material itself. The instructors gave no more education then what I could have learned watching the basic striptease scene off of my favorite rated R movie.

I was looking for a more professional workout video. I was very disappointed with this DVD because it looks homemade and is extremely dull. It comes with a music CD to dance to, but the quality of the music is not all that great either. Buyer Beware! Don’t waste your money on this one.
